Retirees accorded warm farewell

JAMMU, Feb 28: Various Government officers and officials who retired today after attaining superannuation today were accorded warm and affectionate send off by their officers and colleagues in separate functions at their respective place of postings today.
Police Headquarters bid a farewell to retiring officers- Ms Farida Mir, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din, private secretaries and Mohammad Shafi and Girdhari Lal, both non-gazetted officers. Director General of Police Ashok Prasad and other speakers highlighted the contribution of superannuating officers and wished them a healthy and prosperous post retirement life. They assured that PHQ will always feel proud to assist the retiring officers in solving their problems in future.
Abdul Rashid Malik, private secretary to Additional DGP Armed, a highly decorated officer, retired on superannuation after rendering 34 years of unblemished services. Among others the function was attended by IGPs Munir Ahmed Khan, P R Manhas, Sunil Kumar, DIGs G K L Bhagat, Vijay Singh Sambyal and several other officers.
Information Department accorded warm and affectionate farewell to Chauffeur Mehraj-ud-Din, on his superannuation today. Director Information Tasuduq Jeelani lauded the dedication and sincerity of the retiree who always performed his duty with utmost zeal and honesty.
Teleprinter Operator Des Raj Saini in the office of the Information Department Jammu was also accorded warm and touching send off on his retirement. A function was held in the office of the Joint Director.
The officers and field staff of Directorate of CA&PD Jammu arranged a function to bid farewell to Riaz Ahmad Choudhary, Special Secretary on his superannuation. They wished him a happy and healthy life after retirement.
Mohan Lal Barua, senior Horticulture Technician was given warm send off on his retirement at a function presided over by Director Horticulture A K Sharma.
