ANANTNAG, Feb 28: BJP Muslim Morcha in a meeting here today expressed its satisfaction over the decision of Party High Command in fielding the candidates from Kashmir Valley for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting also appealed the Party High Command to announce the candidate from Srinagar Lok Sabha Constituency also. It, while extending full support Mushtaq Ahmed Noorabadi who has been fielded as party candidate from Anantnag Lok Sabha seat said that there is a wave of BJP in the country and people in Kashmir do not consider the party as untouchable the stigma was attached to it by Congress, NC and PDP who exploited the people for their political interests over the years.
The meeting said the BJP is emerging a party to reckon with in Valley also and it can perform much better at hustings than other traditional parties of Kashmir.
The Morcha asked its cadres to convert their all units into campaign committees and launch a vigorous campaign for party candidates in the Valley by organising booth level, village level and block level meetings and apprise the people of the policies and programmes of the party under the leadership of Narendra Modi.
