POONCH, Feb 28: After the lapse of many months, trade worth Rs 2.20 crore took place at Chakkan-da-Bagh LoC point in district Poonch today.
Officials sources said that a total 23 trucks loaded with goods including almonds, clothes, herbs, dry dates etc worth Rs 1.78 crore, crossed over to this side from PoK. Eight trucks loaded with fruits, tamarind, herbs etc crossed over to PoK. The value of goods was put at Rs 38.50 lakh. The LoC point opened twice between 12.10 and 12.30 noon and then between 4 and 4.15 pm. After a lapse of long time the trade has crossed Rs 2 crore mark at this LoC point.
