Singh asked the people to check the rates of the toll plazas. He said BJP leaders should explain why this is happening with the people of J&K. Now because the proxy government of BJP could not deliver on the ground, that’s why the J&K BJP leadership is requesting the Central leaders to campaign in J&K. Their shift and surrender dismayed and disappointed people of J&K besides exposing their hollow and false commitment to their slogans always used by them to hoodwink the people.
Congress leader lambasted the BJP leadership and alleged that instead of focusing on matters confronting the people of Jammu region in the last ten years, they are now trying to deceive people by raising non-issues and diverting their attention from joblessness, poor healthcare facilities and sidelining of the employees of J&K.
Ranjeeta Ranjan, Rajya Sabha MP also addressed a series of meetings and said that if Congress is voted to power the heavy taxes like GST imposed on essential goods will be reviewed and the schemes like Agniveer will be abolished. Moreover, Congress is committed for restoration of statehood to J&K, she added.
