JAMMU, Apr 12: The “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj” katha being organised by Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Yogpeeth today entered into 4th day.
On the 4th day of Saga, Swami Govind Dev Giri Ji Maharaj expounded on the divine nature of the Maratha king, stating that his journey to Bijapur led him inward.
He said that Shiva Ji witnessed temple buildings, saw cows being slaughtered on the streets, observed frightened farmers, and witnessed the distress of dragged-away children, which deeply troubled him.
Swami Ji emphasized that at the age of 15, Chhatrapati Shivaji pledged to establish a Hindu empire. Despite facing numerous adversities and surrounded by enemies, he established a dominion of nearly 350 kilometres.
Such contemplation is the greatest jewel. Contemplation holds great significance in Vedanta as well, where it leads to a complete transformation of life. The values instilled by his mother-in-law kept him vigilant towards his nation, society, and culture.
Speaking on the occasion, Baba Ramdev underlined that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj not only provided political leadership to the nation but also paved the way for social, economic, religious, spiritual, cultural and intellectual growth.
He compared Shivaji’s endeavors 350 years ago to what the 100 crore followers of Sanatan Dharma need to accomplish today.
Ramdev also urged everyone to commit themselves to emulate the character of a valiant child, drawing inspiration from various narratives, episodes, and scholarly references to present before them.
He likened the roles played by revered mothers like Mata Jijabai, Anjani Mata, Yashoda Mata, Kaushalya Mata, and Gujri Mata to the role being played by Swami Govind Dev Giri Ji Maharaj in instilling these virtues in society.
On the completion of 350 years of the glory of the Hindu empire, for the first time, the saga of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is being narrated from the Vyasa seat under the guidance of revered Swami Govind Dev Giri Ji Maharaj.
The purpose of this saga is to draw inspiration from the character of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and enhance the glory of undivided India.
Among others who were present during the Katha included, N P Singh, Dr Sadhvi Devpriya, Prof Mahavir Aggarwal, Swami Arshdev and Sadhak and Sadhikas from various Yog Peeths.
