RJD in its manifesto for Lok Sabha election released on Saturday, promised to provide one crore jobs to youths and financial assistance of Rs one lakh to one woman of every poor family in a year.
Leader of the opposition and senior RJD leader Tejaswi Prasad Yadav while releasing the manifesto for the Lok Sabha election, in presence of senior party leaders, said that one crore jobs would be given to youths if his party was voted to power.
Financial assistance of Rs one lakh would be given to one woman of every poor family per year to improve their economic conditions, he added.
Named as ” Parivartan Patra “, it was promised in manifesto that cooking gas cylinder would be given at Rs 500, free electricity of 200 units and Minimum Support Price (MSP) on 10 crops would also be given.
It was also promised that remaining recommendations of Mandal Commission would also be implemented.
Yadav said that focus would be on providing government jobs to youths as it was done when RJD was in power for 17 months in Grand Alliance Government headed by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
A total of 30 lakhs vacant posts would be filled up while 70 lakhs posts would be created in various departments of the Government of India, he added.
” Caste census would be conducted at national level”, the leader of the opposition said, adding that special category status would be granted to Bihar. National Judicial Commission would be constituted to ensure reservation of backwards, deprived and tribals in higher judiciary, he added.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said that special package of Rs 60,000 crores would be given to Bihar in five years for all round development of the state.
“Agniveer” scheme for recruitment in Armed forces would be removed and old system of recruitments would be introduced to ensure justice to youths, Yadav said.
He said that Old Pension Scheme would be implemented for Government servants.
Recommendations of Swaminathan Commission would also be implemented in larger interest of farmers and agriculture sector, the senior RJD leader added. (UNI)
