JAMMU, Apr 13: Agitated over the purported objectionable remarks against Rajput women folk by its Union Minister and BJP candidate from Rajkot Lok Sabha constituency Purshotam Rupalla, Yuva Rajput Sabha today asked the community to cast their votes against BJP.
“Objectionable remark against the Rajput women folk cannot be tolerated and the entire community is united in protesting against such attempts,” said Patron of Yuva Rajput Sabha, Rajinder Singh, while addressing a press conference along with YRS Core Committee members Rajesh Singh, Ranjeet Singh, former President Rajan Singh Happy, Mukesh Singh, Rajeev Singh, Bhanu Partap Singh and Avtar Singh.
YRS leaders attacked the top leadership of Bhartiya Janta Party for shielding such mischives who are dividing the society by giving such remarks against a particular community’s women.
Rajinder Singh also appealed the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to immediately remove Rupalla from party otherwise Rajput community will protest at every corner of J&K against the party. He said during independence struggle community also fought bravely and sacrificed thousands of its warriors and never bowed before the Britishers. We have example of our Dogra rulers who fought bravely and no single Britisher could put his step inside the boundaries stretched by our ruler, he claimed.
YRS leaders said that shielding of such leaders by BJP has compelled them to protest against the party, which apparently thinks against the community and its women folk. If the BJP was not anti-Rajput, they should have immediately withdrawn the mandate of Rupalla and take action against him, Rajinder Singh said.
