JAMMU, Apr 14: Arshad Ali Choudhary has been nominated as new Chairman of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, Jammu.
The nomination was made during the 5th Annual General Body meeting of GDCT, Jammu, here this morning in the presence of Haji Abdul Hamid Choudhary, Patron in Chief and Mohd Sharief Chouhan, General Secretary of the Trust.
After detailed discussions, the Patron- in-Chief, in consultation with other present Senior Trustees in the House, proposed the name of Arshad Ali Choudhary as new Chairman of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, Jammu. The resolution so proposed was adopted and passed unanimously by all the Members present in the House with one voice.
Arshad Ali Choudhary was appointed as a Chairman of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust, Jammu while Bashir Ahmed Noon was appointed as a Treasurer and Er Mohd Sadiq Azad as a General Secretary.
The outgoing General Secretary Ch M S Chouhan briefed the House in detail regarding follow-up action report of previous General Body Meeting, Annual Report of last three years & future projects & proposals of GDCT along with works executed during last three years in respect of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust & Brig Khuda Baksh Memorial Public Hr Sec. School.
During open house discussion, various speakers/members expressed their views, suggestions & measures to be taken for the development of Trust & requested that GDCT should work for the upliftment of, Gojri Language & Culture.
Advocate Shah Mohd Chowdhary, outgoing Chairman, briefed the House in detail the measures taken during last three years for the development of Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust.
Former Chairman and working Patron-in-Chief Abdul Hamid Chowdhary highlighted the contributions of Dr Masud A Choudhary in establishing the GDCT.
The Trustees who spoke on the occasion, included Haji Allah Rahim Chechi, Jenab Bashir Ahmed Noon, Shouket Perwez, Ali Hussain Hakla, Dr Nasreen Akhter, Iftihkar Hussain Chouhan, Adv Anwar Choudhary, Er Mohd Sadiq Azad, Faryad Ahmed, Dr Ambreen Choudhary, Zeeshan Javed Rana, Farida Javed, Asif Khalil Poswal, Naseem Akhter, Dr Manzoor Hussain Pumbla, Bashir Ahmed Mastana and others.
