KISHTWAR, Apr 14: Shiv Sena (Shinde) Zonal president, Chenab Region, Tilak Raj Shan along with his party activists held door to door campaign in various areas of Kishtwar and appealed the people to vote for BJP candidate and Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh to strengthen the hands of PM Narendra Modi so that he can form the Government at Centre for third consecutive term.
Shan, while highlighting the achievements of Dr Jitendra Sing as MP and Union Minister said that it was due to his efforts that the relief was of migrants from Doda and other hilly reaches of Jammu was hiked at par with Kashmiri migrants and the long pending demands of Village Defence Committees were settled.
Shan said Dr Jitendra Singh deserves credit of granting four percent reservation to people living along International Border (IB) who were facing a total injustice as earlier Congress, NC Governments ignored these people for vote bank considerations while granting the four percent reservations to LoC people who constituted their vote bank.
Shan said Dr Jitendra Singh worked tirelessly for development of his constituency and Kathua, Udhampur, Doda constituency is the first constituency which got three medical colleges with his efforts. He said he also deserves credit for taking up the issue of Shahpur Kandi Project which was sabotaged by earlier governments with PM Narendra Modi and sought his intervention in getting MoU signed between Punjab and JK Government for construction of the project.
Shan said the Minister took keen interest in resuming the work on Rattle Power Project which was closed by earlier NC-Congress Government besides getting other power projects sanctioned in Kishtwar district. Shan said what the earlier governments could not achieve in over 60 years was achieved by Modi Government in 10 years and hence people should differentiate between opposition parties and BJP to know the reality.
