SRINAGAR, Apr 14: Acting tough against individuals involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police in Baramulla today seized two vehicles and arrested two drivers.
Authorities stated that a police party, under the supervision of SDPO Kreeri and assisted by SHO PS Kreeri, seized two vehicles (tractors) and arrested two drivers at Kreeri Baramulla for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.
The accused drivers have been identified as Mohd Ishfaq Waza, son of Gh Mohd, resident of Frasthar, and Dawood Ahmad Wani, son of Mohd Ashraf, resident of Waripora.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of the law have been registered at Police Station Kreeri, and further investigation has been initiated.
