SMHSS celebrates annual day

JAMMU, Mar 1: Shobha Model Higher Secondary School, Laxmipuram (Chinore) celebrated annual day-cum-prize distribution function, with pomp and show, here today.
The function started with ceremonial lighting of the lamp and by releasing the ballons in the sky by chief guest Raman Bhalla, Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture.
Kamal Gupta, president, Private School Association presided over the function. Subash Chander, ex-Corporator was also present.
On the occasion many cultural items were presented by the students depicting India’s unity in diversity which enthralled the audience.
Speaking on the occasion, Raman Bhalla stressed upon the teacher community and students to work hard for the bright future of the country and praised the management of the school for giving such exposure to students.
Later on the prizes were distributed by the chief guest amongst the students for excellence in academic and extra curricular activities.
