KATHUA, Apr 15: Former Member Parliament and Congress candidate from Udhampur-Doda seat, Ch Lal Singh today claimed that employment opportunities for educated youth and regularization of daily wagers/ contractual employees will be given top priority if his party comes to power in the elections.
Addressing a series of elections meetings braving rain at Koota, Keedian Gandyal, Mela, Lachipur and other villages today Ch Lal Singh questioned the achievements of the locals BJP leaders and criticized them for failing to meet the hopes of the people and remaining mute spectators to the issues concerning the people of J&K.
Ch. Lal Singh said that the BJP leaders are contesting elections through proxy parties like DPAP. He said that there is a lot of pain, agony, and suffering among the people which these leaders do not even know and only Ch. Lal Singh can understand it and has the guts to speak about the real issues in the Parliament.
He claimed that these BJP leaders have consistently failed to uphold the public mandate because of the blatant political ineptitude and the people of the region will teach the lesson to BJP this time. The entire country is yearning for a change and want riddance from the BJP’s misdeeds and misrule, he added.
Lal Singh further lambasted the BJP leaders for open loot and exploitation of local resources and emphasized that if voted to power, I will fight for both land and jobs protection of the locals. He further lambasted the BJP representatives and said what they were doing in the Parliament when this state was downgraded to UTs and the people of J&K are ruled by the proxy BJP Government.
He said people of J&K must think a hundred times before casting votes for BJP. This is the same BJP who took our Statehood and is now asking for the votes to restore the statehood. He strongly asserted that the people of J&K cannot tolerate external entities seizing control of local land and job opportunities. These issues are central to the people’s economic prosperity and cultural integrity.
Ch Lal Singh said if voted to power, all the vacant positions of teachers, doctors, Assistant Professors and other jobs in the Jammu and Kashmir will be filled on priority and promised to fight for these issues in Parliament and ensure the voices of the people are heard. He also appealed to the masses to join a mega rally at Kathua tomorrow.
