REASI, Apr 16: Reasi Police today visited the home of martyr Constable Altaf Hussain, son of Mohd Sadiq, resident of Dhabotal, Hassote in Tehsil Chassana, who made the supreme sacrifice on April 16. 2000 during an encounter at Surankote, Poonch.
As a gesture of respect and support, a team from Police Post Banna visited his home. During the visit, the team provided assistance to the family members and listened to their concerns.
During the interaction, various genuine grievances were raised by the Martyr family and they were assured that their grievances would be taken up with concerned quarters at an appropriate level for timely redressal.
Later, next of kins of the Police Martyrs expressed their satisfaction and hoped to further strengthen the bond between them and J&K Police Department.
Purpose of the visit was to take stock of the welfare of the families of Police Martyrs who laid their precious lives in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the nation.
SSP Reasi, Mohita Sharma assured the NoKs of Police Martyrs for every possible help and lauded the role played by their loved ones in sacrificing their lives for the sake of the nation. She further said that J&K police will always remain indebted for their services. Further, SSP Reasi emphasized the NoKs of Police Martyrs to consider the Police department as their own family and share their problems at any time.
