*General Observer releases two songs

JAMMU, Apr 16: To enhance voters education and participation, a mega Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme was organised in Zorawar Singh Auditorium of Jammu University here today.
The initiative, spearheaded by District Election Officer Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, was meticulously planned to galvanize the electorate ahead of Lok Sabha Elections scheduled for Jammu Parliamentary Constituency (PC) on 26th April 2024.
The event was graced General Observer for Jammu PC, Rahul Ranjan Mahiwal.
On the occasion, the Observer released two specially composed songs that encapsulate the spirit and message of the SVEEP campaign.
The songs have been composed to resonate with electorate, serving as a melodic reminder of the power and significance of their vote.
The release of these songs marks a pivotal moment in the campaign, aligning with broader strategy to use culturally relevant mediums to promote voter awareness.
Adding a vibrant cultural dimension to the event, Sangram Hanjra, a noted Punjabi singer, delivered a stellar performance that was both entertaining and enlightening. His music, characterized by its deep lyrical content and captivating melodies, effectively communicated the critical message of voters participation, urging the audience to actively engage in electoral process. His involvement highlights the programme’s use of popular art forms to reach a wider audience, making message of electoral participation more accessible and appealing.
The programme also included a series of enlightening talks by prominent figures, including Election Observer, who delved deep into fundamental rights and duties of voters.
DEO Jammu, in his address, provided a detailed overview of the district administration’s strategic initiatives aimed at maximizing voter outreach. He outlined a comprehensive plan of action that encompasses a range of activities designed to educate and motivate various segments of the population.
Special focus was placed on inclusive measures that cater to the needs of migrant labourers, women, elderly and specially abled, ensuring that these groups are actively encouraged to participate in electoral process. This approach not only broadens the scope of campaign but also ensures that it is inclusive and representative of entire demographic spectrum of the district.
