CHENNAI, Mar 3: Markets witnessed a mixed trend today with gram dal, sugar and wheat prices going up while moong dal, maida and sooji prices declining in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.
Rest of commodities were trading steady.
Gram dal and wheat rose by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 3,900 and Rs 2,500 from its closing rates of Rs 3,800 and Rs 2,400, respectively.
Sugar increased marginally by Rs 20 per quintal to Rs 2,900 from its closing rate of Rs 2,880.
Moong dal prices declined by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 9,500 from its previous rates of Rs 9,600.
Maida (90 kg) and sooji (90 kg) fell by Rs 50 to Rs 2,450 and Rs 2,550 from its last rates of Rs 2,500 and Rs 2,600, respectively.
