SAMBA, Apr 20: Samba police has worked out a theft case registered at Police Station Vijaypur, arrested two accused and recovered stolen motorcycle from their possession.
Police said on April 17 a written report was lodged at Police Station (PS) Vijaypur by one Munish Sharma, son of Manohar Lal of Garhi district Jammu, regarding theft of his motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK02BC-2945 from Thandi Khui, Vijaypur.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR No. 56/2024 U/S 379 IPC was registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, police has arrested the two accused namely Ankush Choudhary alias Goli son of Kasturi Lal of Bawa Colony, tehsil Vijaypur and Sawan Majotra son of Tejinder Singh of Vijaypur who during sustained questioning confessed their involvement in the instant case. Further on their disclosure, stolen bike has been recovered from near AIIMS Vijaypur.
