2 peddlers nabbed with charas

Srinagar, Apr 21: Police today arrested 2 drug peddlers in Kulgam and Baramulla, recovering charas from their possession.
Authorities said that a police party of Police Station Qazigund at a checkpoint established at Nassu on NHW, intercepted a suspicious person carrying a nylon bag.
During the search, officers were able to recover 300 grams of Charas from his possession.
“He has been identified as Basit Ahmad Mir son of Nazir Ahmad Mir, a resident of Chiedhama Mirbazar.”
He has been arrested and shifted to a police station where he remains in custody, police said.
Meanwhile in Baramulla, a Police party of Police Station Tangmarg headed by SHO PS Tangmarg at a checkpoint established at Devdragar Tangmarg, intercepted a person identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Mir son of Habibullah resident of Devdragar Tangmarg.
“During search, 30 grams of Charas was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Tangmarg where he remains in custody,” police said.
