Handoo to be JKNUF candidate from Srinagar

JAMMU, Apr 21: Rakesh Handoo working president of Jammu Kashmir National United Front (JKNUF) a political party of Kashmiri Pandits who is contesting Lok Sabha elections from Srinagar constituency today said that he will file his nomination papers on April 24.
Addressing a meeting of JKNUF activists here this evening, Handoo urged them to launch a vigorous campaign for the party in Srinagar constituency and ensure his victory in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. He also appealed displaced Kashmiri Pandits from Srinagar Parliamentary constituency and other nationalist people to vote enmass in his favour to fight against corruption, nepotism, injustice and dynastic politics. He assured that if elected he will work for restoration of peace in Kashmir Valley and fostering inter community bonds to restore the pristine glory of Kashmir.
Handoo had earlier contested Assembly elections from Srinagar in 2008 as a JKNUF candidate.
