JAMMU, Mar 3: Deputy leader of PDP in Legislative Assembly and MLA Bijbehara, Abdul Rehman Veeri today assured the Kashmiri migrants that their aspirations will be given due place in the party manifestos for the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.
Addressing a one day convention of PDP Minority Wing here today Mr Veeri said that the community will be given due representation in law making bodies of the State if PDP is voted to power.
He also urged the Party leaders to have a proper liaison with community and motivate them to vote for PDP in both Lok Sabha as well as Assembly elections.
Dr Sameer Kaul, National Spokesperson of the Party while laying stress on the political empowerment of the Kashmiri Pandits appealed the community to use their right to franchise without any fear and threat and elect their representatives who can take due care of their aspirations.
The convention was held under the chairmanship of Ashok Sidha, president of Minority Wing PDP.
During the convention the Minority Wing leaders demanded representation to KPs in State Legislature, abolition of cumbersome process of M Forms for voting, creation of job avenues for displaced youth, granting of minority status to KPs, restoration of RBA to migrants and in time release of medical aid for displaced patients.
S K Raina, Mahraj Krishan (retd DySP), Nana Ji Watal, B B Sadhu, Manoj Koul, Bansi Lal Dhar, T K Tickoo, Deepak Goja, and others addressed the convention.
