DODA, Mar 3: One person namely Abdul Gani son of Mahamdu resident of Ghoral tehsil, district Doda was arrested for theft by way of illegal extraction of 42 scants of kail from forest area of Kulhand, here today.
Stolen scants were recovered by Doda Police from the possession of above said person and case FIR number 34/2014 U/S 379 RPC, 6/39 Forest Act has been registered at Doda Police Station against him. Investigation of the case is going on.
Meanwhile, ex-SPO Javed Iqbal son of Ghulam Mohd resident of Mahalla and Nursing orderly Babu Ram son of Swami Raj resident of Kulhand tehsil of district Doda were found involved in illegal restraining of the vehicles at Pul Doda and extorting money from the drivers of vehicles.
The accused have been arrested and case FIR number 38/2014, U/S 341, 382 RPC stands registered at Doda Police Station The drive was being carried out under the close supervision of SP Doda.
