JAMMU, Apr 22: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Dr Sunil Gupta, accompanied by SSP Jammu, Dr Vinod Kumar today conducted a security review of the distribution centre and strong room at the MAM and Polytechnic Colleges Jammu.
A statement said that during the review, the DIG inspected the Distribution Centre, Strong Room, guards deployed at the venue, CCTV cameras installed, access control systems, and parking areas.
It said Dr Sunil Gupta imparted necessary directions to the SSP Jammu regarding foolproof security arrangements in and around the venue.
Besides, necessary briefing was given to the officers/nafri deployed at the venue with regard to the sensitivity and nature of the duty.
They were further directed to remain extra alert on their point.
SSP Jammu was also directed to ensure that all the CCTV cameras are installed within two days positively.
Other officers who were present on the venue included Ajay Sharma, SP South Jammu; Kartik Shrotriya, SDPO Gandhi Nagar, Jammu; Rabinder Singh, DySP DAR Jammu; Sudhir Sadhotra, SHO Gandhi Nagar, and incharge Police Post Nehru Market.
