JAMMU, Apr 22: In a proactive measure to ensure safety and security during the upcoming elections, several route marches were conducted across the rural zones of Jammu District today.
Supervised by SSP Jammu and SP Rural Jammu, the marches covered the jurisdictions of multiple police stations and posts, including Police Station Khour, Police Post Jourian, Police Station Akhnoor, and Police Station Gharota, among others.
Participation in these marches was robust, featuring territorial officers such as SDPOs, SHOs, and ICPPs/ ICBPPs, alongside Armed and CAPF personnel.
These exercises are a critical component of the election security strategy, designed to enhance the familiarity of security forces with their respective areas and improve their preparedness to address any potential threats that may arise during the election period.
Additionally, the visible presence of security personnel during these marches plays a crucial role in deterring criminal activities.
