Leh, Apr 23: In anticipation of the upcoming Lok Sabha Election, District Election Officer/Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve chaired a meeting with the District Nodal Officers at the Video Conference Hall, DC Office, Leh on April 23.
The main purpose of the meeting was to clarify the duties and obligations of different officials in charge.
The District Election Officer (DEO) thoroughly examined the action plan submitted by the officials responsible for overseeing the Lok Sabha election.
Further, he addressed issues including manpower, training, expenditure monitoring, transport, MCC, media, EVM management and electoral roll by interacting with concerned officers.
ADIO, NIC, Tashi Tundup informed that the data entry for employees from various departments has been completed, along with the preparation of a list of micro-observers. The training for both the postal ballot and general has also been completed.
DEO Leh inquired about the functionality of surveillance teams, material and packaging, army training, and absentee voters regarding postal ballots. He directed all necessary training to be conducted.
Additionally, he instructed all the other nodal officers to continue working after clarifying their issues.
The meeting was attended by ADDC,Sonam Nurboo; ACR Shabir Hussain; ARTO,Leh Inzar Rana; ADIO,NIC,Leh Tashi Tundup;AD, DIPR, Leh Tundup Namgail and various other nodal officers.
