Srinagar, Apr 25: Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone today sought electoral support of PDF’s Hakim Mohammad Yasin and DDC Chairman Budgam Nazir Ahmad Khan.
Lone told in a press conference that the PC has geared up its political outreach ahead of ongoing Lok Sabha polls, and in this connection an appeal is being made to political leaders falling under north Kashmir’s Baramulla segment to support and consolidate vote.
“I appeal to PDF Chairman Hakim Mohammad Yasin and DDC Chairman Budgam Nazir Ahmad Khan to extend their support to JKPC in north Kashmir’s Baramulla,” Lone said. He also said that seeking electoral support is aimed to consolidate the vote ratio.

Meanwhile, PDF Chairman Hakim Mohammad Yasin reciprocated to the call of Lone, and announced that his party will support Sajad Lone in north Kashmir.
“I along with DDC Chairman Budgam Nazir Ahmad Khan had made a decision to field our own candidate from North Kashmir Parliamentary Constituency. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to do so; The NC MPs who were in Parliament when Article 370 was abrogated did not even discuss the matter; we believe that there should be a new and young face that can represent the aspirations of the people so we have decided to support Sajad Lone in the North Kashmir Parliamentary Constituency,” Hakim Mohammad Yasin announced.
Expressing profound dismay at the apparent double standards in enforcing the law, Lone found it astonishing that Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah have evaded repercussions despite facing grave accusations, while Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been subjected to arrest by the Central Government. He characterized the lack of action against the Abdullahs and the lavish security arrangements afforded to them as deeply suspicious, hinting at potential political favors exchanged with the BJP.
Lone condemned the NC’s alleged active fostering of communal discord through digital media platforms, asserting that such nefarious tactics serve the interests of the BJP while imperiling the well-being of ordinary citizens. “The NC’s apparent collusion with the BJP, as evidenced by Omar Abdullah’s expressed willingness to collaborate with the party, undermines their ideological stance. Moreover, their alliance with the ultra-right Shiv Sena further calls into question their commitment to secular values,” he thundered.
