GMC Rajouri restores sight of orphan child

RAJOURI, Apr 25: In a poignant narrative of resilience, a 4-year-old orphan, facing bilateral cataracts, found solace and healing at the Eye Unit of GMC, Rajouri.
Amidst financial hardships, a compassionate surgical team, led by Dr Shazia Qayum, performed the delicate procedure under general anaesthesia. The surgery was conducted under the centrally sponsored scheme `Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakaram’ (RBSK) with all logistic support out of National Program for Control of Blindness (NPCB).
