KARGIL, Mar 5: The Kargil Police yesterday rescued a woman, who was trying to commit suicide here.
Sr. Superintendent of Police Kargil, Sujit Kumar said that a mentally disturbed woman was trying to commit suicide in River Suru from Poyen Bridge late evening yesterday. As the Kargil Police got information in this regard, a team led by Dy. SP Hqrs, Abdul Khaliq along with SHO Kargil with Police Jawans reached on spot and rescued the woman and saved her life from committing suicide.
Later the mentally disturbed woman was handed over to her husband. Local people have appreciated the role of Kargil Police for saving her life. They further said that in the prevailing cold despite minus, the police forces are always remain alert.
Meanwhile the Kargil Police is playing a very good role in order to make Kargil free crime zone.
Earlier before this, Police have solved many cases of crime in Kargil district regarding robbers, others and arrested the defaulter.
