Srinagar, Mar 5: Twenty two girl students from Uri are on an educational and motivational tour under Army’s Operation Sadbhavana initiative visited Bengal Headquarter area today.
An Army spokesman said the girls who are on their maiden outing were accompanied by two female teachers and interacted with Maj Gen Harsha Kakar, Chief of Staff, HQ Bengal Area and other officials.
“The team left Uri on February 24, and visited Delhi and Lucknow before arriving Kolkata on Monday. During their stay they visited various landmarks and tourist spots in the city,” the spokesman said.
The spokesman said the girls displayed zestful spirit and will return to Kashmir tomorrow after making a lasting impression.
