RAJOURI, Mar 5: One person was killed while another injured in a car accident in Dharamsal area of Nowshera sub division today.
A police spokesman said that a Government School teacher, Asad Parvez Mirza (36), son of Mohd Aslam, resident of Badoon in Rajouri and his cousin Zahoor Ahmed, son of Mohd Razak from the same area, were seriously injured after their Alto car No. JK-11/4445 fell into a gorge at Bhagar under Dharamsal police jurisdiction today. Both were rushed to Sunderbani hospital where doctors declared Parvez as dead. His body was handed over to the family after postmortem.
The mishap took place when both were returning from Jammu to their village. They had gone there in connection with fulfilling some formalities to get passport. The injured was undergoing treatment in Sunderbani hospital. The police has taken cognizance of the case.
