JAMMU, Mar 5:  On the occasion of International Women’s Say, Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA), Air Force Station Jammu, organized two day “Diabetes Screening Camp” at the Station Medicare Centre which concluded today.
The camp was inaugurated by  Mamta Patange, president AFWWA (Local). On this occasion a lecture was delivered by Medical Officer on prevention and management of diabetes. There was overwhelming response from ladies. Ladies were examined for diabetes and those found to have high blood sugar levels were advised for further investigations and necessary diet control measures.
Mamta Patange addressed the gathering of ladies of air warriors and emphasised on the importance of healthy lifestyle. She urged all the ladies to take up exercises and come out of house from daily schedule. She said that AFWWA would continue with such camps in future also and would work towards the health related issues of all the AFWWA Sanginis (Members).
