KABUL, Apr 30 : A total of 500 historical relics have been repaired in the Persian calendar year 1402 (March 21, 2023 to March 19, 2024), local media reported on Monday.
“Restoration and preservation is an everyday task for our colleagues. I mentioned that we should focus on the year 1402, during which our colleagues managed to cover the restoration of 500 historical and archaeological artifacts despite difficulties,” local media outlet TOLOnews quoted Mohammad Yahya Mohebzada, the deputy curator of the National Museum, as saying on Monday.
The repaired relics include sculptures, coins, and utensils that belong to different periods, Mohebzada clarified.
According to the Ministry of Information and Culture, more than 60,000 ancient artifacts belonging to different eras have been registered and put on display at the museum in the national capital of Kabul. (UNI)
