RAMBAN, May 1: One person lost his life while nine others were injured in a road accident near Banihal late this evening.
Sources informed that the ill fated vehicle of Tempo Traveller make bearing registration number JK14A-9438 was moving towards Srinagar from Jammu when it was hit by a truck bearing registration number JK02CX-0580 coming from the opposite direction.
All the ten persons on board the Tempo Traveller were believed to be tourists.
Four of the injured were shifted to Government Medical College Anantnag while five others were undergoing treatment at SDH Banihal till last reports.
Police has started investigation in the case after registration of an FIR in this regard under relevant sections of law.
