JAMMU, Mar 6: Nagrota police today arrested a bovine smuggler and rescued 16 bovine animals from his possession, which were being smuggled in a truck from Jammu to Srinagar.
Police intercepted truck No. 0375 JK19 at Bantalab naka under the jurisdiction of Nagrota police station and rescued 16 bovine animals from it. The truck has also been seized, Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Nagrota Khalik Choudhary said.
Police arrested the bovine smuggler Parvez Ahmed son of Mohammad Din, a resident of Ramban. A case has been registered against him at Nagrota police station.
