JAMMU, Mar 6: The migrant employees appointed under PM’s package will also be entitled to all benefits including fixing of their seniority and granting other service benefits which a Government employees is entitled under service rules.
The order in this regard was issued by General Administrative Department (GAD) on the directives of Chief Secretary, Iqbal Khandey after the issue was brought in the notice of the GAD by Revenue Department recently.
The GAD has urged the Revenue Department to take further action in this matter and issue directives to all the concerned departments in this regard at an earliest so that the migrant employees are not deprived of the benefits which they are entitled under PM’s package.
Meanwhile, PCC Secretary, Hira Lal Pandita has welcomed the decision and personnel initiative taken in this regard by the Revenue and Rehabilitation Minister, Aijaz Ahmed Khan, Chief Secretary and Revenue Commissioner cum Secretary Vinod Kaul.
