Court grants pre-arrest bail to Raman Bhalla’s son

JAMMU, May 2: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Sanjay Parihar today granted pre-arrest bail to Jai Sidh Bhalla, son of Raman Bhalla, who was booked by the Police Station Bahu Fort for circulating a forged and doctored video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
After hearing Advocate Aseem Kumar Sawhney with Advocate Amit Sharma for the applicant, court issued notice to Public Prosecutor for filing objections along with police report and in the meantime directed that the applicant in the event of his arrest shall be admitted to bail till 08.05.2024 on his furnishing surety and personal bonds in the amount of Rs 50,000 each, provided the applicant is not involved in any offence, which is punishable with the imprisonment exceeding the term of 07 years or any other offence triable by Special Judge including under NDPS Act, Forest Act/financial scam/offence against women or land grabbing case etc.
“He shall not influence or approach the prosecution witnesses or in any manner or tamper with the prosecution evidence; he shall not misuse the concession of bail by any means whatsoever; he shall co-operate with the investigating agency”, the court ordered, adding “in case any statement made by the applicant, which leads to the disclosure in terms of Section 27 Evidence Act, the applicant shall be deemed to have been in police custody for the purpose of admissibility of disclosure statement only”.
