Acharya Balkrishan stresses on organic farming for self dependence

HARIDWAR, May 2: Co-Founder of Patanjali organisation, Acharya Balkrishan on Thursday said that making farmers self dependent by working hard for organic farming along with modern technology is the main aim of Patanjali organisation.
He further said that works of saints and agriculture is the base of progress in our country.
Balkrishan was speaking during the culmination of a two day workshop on ‘Achieving Self Dependence Using Organic Farming’ which was held under the aegis of Patanjali Yogpeeth and Patanjali Organic Research Institute Haridwar.
The programme was organised by Progressive Village Patanjali Training Centre and participants in it were from eight States.
In this programme the participants were made aware about works being done by Patanjali for the upliftment of farmers and villages.
They were also made aware on soil test machines, B-POS machine, organic agriculture, natural farming, green revolution and Aandata App.
On this occasion the students of Patanjali University presented a play on soil health.
Acharya Balkrishan motivated all the participants in the workshop to adopt the traditional organic and natural farming practices.
He stressed on small and domestic units for achieving self dependence for livelihood in the country.
On this occasion Acharya Balkrishan felicitated Padam Shree Seth Pal along with 15 farmers for best agriculture practises.
