Zinc futures up 0.22 pc on global cues, spot demand

NEW DELHI, Mar 7: Zinc futures prices today edged up by 0.23 per cent to Rs 129.10 per kg amid a firm global trend and better domestic demand, as speculators enlarged positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc for delivery in March edged up by 30 paise, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 129.10 per kg, with a business turnover of 343 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in April traded higher by 30 paise, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 129.80 per kg, with a business turnover of 12 lots.
Analysts attributed rise in zinc prices at futures trade to improved demand in the spot market and a firming trend in base metals at the London Metal Exchange. (AGENCIES)
