Leh, May 3, 2024: In view of the forthcoming General Election to Lok Sabha 2024, a general training was organised for the Presiding officer and Polling officers at SSK Leh today on May 3.
The training was provided by District Level Masters Trainers, Senior Lecturer, Rigzin Namgyail, Senior Librarian, Libraries and Research Department, Lobzang Gura Susheel, State Level Master Trainer, Chief Animal Husbandry, Dr. Stanzin Rabgais.
The trainers gave a detailed information about the EVM functioning, Statutory and non-Statutory form, polling day arrangements, pre poll activities, poll day activities, EDC, EVM Control unit-Ballot section, special situations and procedure of adjournment of poll was provided to the Presiding officer and Polling officers.
Additionally, trainers highlighted the role and responsibilities of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd polling officers to ensure that elections were held in a smooth, free and fair manner.
The polling officers were also provided hands-on demonstration regarding the use of EVMs/VVPATs.
