Theft case solved: Police

JAMMU, May 3: Police in Domana area claimed they have solved a theft case registered at the Police Station.
A police spokesperson said that on March 15, 2024, a complaint was registered at Police Station Domana about theft of a scooty from near Dayal House, Muthi, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Domana.
He said on this, a case FIR number 56/2024 under section 379 of the IPC was registered at the police station and investigation taken up.
During the course of investigation, the police spokesperson said that a special team led by PSI Younis Khanday under the guidance of SHO Domana rounded up several suspects.
“Among them, one Rohit Singh of Gurha Salathia, Vijaypur, Samba, confessed to his involved in the crime during sustained questioning,” he said.
On the disclosure of the accused, the police spokesperson said that the stolen two-wheeler was recovered.
Further investigation into the case is underway, he said.
