LEH, May 5: Ladakh’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Nucleus Cell (MSME DNC) has surpassed last year achievement in implementation of the MSME schemes in the Union Territory.
During the financial year 2023-24, MSME DNC Ladakh organized 09 programs covering EAPs, IPRs, PM Vishwakarma Seminars & workshop and PMS awareness program benefitting 3505 participants covering both the Districts of Leh and Kargil of Ladakh including far flung areas like Rupsho, Kharsa, Village Phyang compared to 120 participants benefited in the two programs organized in the financial year 2022-23 in District Leh of Ladakh.
These achievements were made possible through the dedicated work of Sonam Targias and ThinlesTsomo who were looking after the activities in the office, said an official handout, issued here today.
MSME DNC Ladakh the field office of Ministry of MSME, implements various schemes and activities for the benefit of MSME Sector for Ladakh with jurisdiction of both District Leh and Kargil.
The activities include Entrepreneurship Awareness Program, Intellectual Property Rights Awareness Program, Procurement Marketing Support Scheme Awareness Program, PM-Vishwakarma Awareness Program, PM-Vishwakarma Awareness Workshop, Entrepreneurship & Skill Development Program, Management Development Program, Reimbursement of Barcode Expenditure, Reimbursement of Stall Charges, To and Fro Charges and Advertising Expenditure for participating in various exhibitions conducted across the country.
MSME Development Nucleus Cell Office was inaugurated officially by Narayan Rane, Union Minister of MSME through video conferencing on February 14, 2024 in the presence of Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, MP of Ladakh; Sanjeev Khirwar, Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce; Tashi Kachu, Chairman, Ladakh Chamber of Industries & Commerce and other dignitaries. The event was Co-ordinated by G Velladurai, IEDS, Joint Director, MSME DFO Jammu, J&K.
