JAMMU, May 6: The Jammu and Kashmir Reserved Categories Empowerment Alliance (JKRCEA), a frontal organization of SC, ST, OBC communities has attacked the ruling BJP and its national leadership for befooling these reserved category people across the Nation and particularly in JK UT by false claims of overall development and extension of new constitutional guarantees to these communities.
Talking to media-persons here today leaders of JKRCEA said that both the PM & HM of the country are falsely claiming that during last 10 years, a lot has been extended for overall development of SCs,STs, OBCs in the country and JKUT in particular and especially after abrogation of Article 370. This all is bunch of lies.
The JKRCEA leadership further said that they have been raising concerns about the plight of reserved categories in J&K, but LG’s administration and the Central leadership has never bothered about it. They castigated both UT and Central Government for befooling SCs/STs/OBCs of J&K with wrong slogans and unconstitutional and anti-quota schemes. These people are only being used for vote bank by the leaders of this party.
They claimed that PM’s slogan of “Dhara 370 Ka Khatma Jammu Kashmir Main ek Naya Itihas Likhega” has a turned out to be a false slogan at least for SCs, STs, OBCs. JKUT is slowly and steadily getting turned into Bihar/UP like situations on socio-religious and even political fronts. Atrocities on SCs have increased several folds after abrogation of Art 370. The caste based verbal sloganeering have increased not only against commoner but elected Panchayat members and BDC members too. Incidents of open abuses and threatening to SC DC, ADC and DIO of Rajouri district were seen in the previous years but LG Admin has not taken cognizance of it.
JKRCEA leaders condemned left and right allotment of State land to big Corporates from outside J&K at the cost of locals. Prof GL Thapa, working president said that 09 years of the struggle of SCs,STs, OBCs in J&K have seen no results due to biased mind set of the governing system wherein; genuine demands of the reserved categories including reservation in promotions, implementation of Mandal Commission report, free land to Balmiki community, filling of backlog vacancies of SCs, STs, have been vehemently ignored.
