Dr Anila gets Sahitya Rattan award

JAMMU, May 6: Dr Anila Singh Charak has been conferred with Sahitya Rattan award in a function held here today.
The function in this regard was organised by BPL foundation in collaboration with Indian net books, in which many writers of national and international fame gathered together.
Dr Anila has been conferred with many awards, for her captivating and enchanting poetry, satire writing and gazals.
In 2008, she has been awarded with Jammu Kashmir Sahitya Academy award for her book ‘Nange Paanv Zindagi’ and was honoured by former Governor N.N Vohra. Apart from that she has been honoured by Sahitya Vibhushan, Atal Samman, Bhartendu Harish Chandra Samman (Rajasthan )and Purvotar Sahitya Academy Samman and many more awards from Mauritius, Nepal and Bhutan.
She is also deeply inclined to painting and sports and had been a national player in cricket and has won name and fame for her country.
She is also a recipient of Homi Bhabha award from Bhabha research centre while working as a Principal in Mumbai.
