MRM holds workers meet, appoints Mir as co-convenor

JAMMU, May 8: Legal Advisor and convenor ‘Muslim Rashtriya Manch'(MRM) Jammu and Kashmir Malikzada Mohammad Shahzad has nominated Mohammad Akhtar Mir as the co-convenor for Jammu province of MRM. A workers meeting was also held to review the conduct of various programmes being undertaken by the organisation.
A statement issued by MRM said that Mohammed Akhtar Mir is a renowned social worker from Batote of district Ramban of Jammu and Kashmir and his joining the organisation will further strengthen it.
Addressing the meeting, Mir said that MRM is the sole organisation that has a vision and capability to bring about social and economic transformation in the country.
” The agenda of this organisation is to carry all the sections of the society together towards accomplishing equitable development of all the regions, religions and castes,” Mir said.
Speaking on the occasion, Malikzada Mohammad Shahzad said that this nomination has been made with great consideration, taking into account Mohammad Akhtar Mir’s dedication, commitment and valuable contributions to the organization.
“We are confident that his involvement in this role will definitely strengthen our efforts and enhance our presence in Jammu Kashmir,” he added.
Malikzada “Muslim Rashtriya Manch acknowledges its responsibility to recognize the contributions of diligent and dynamic persons like him,” Malik further asserted.
Meanwhile, MRM members have welcomed Mohd Akhtar Mir in the organizational fold.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Fayaz Ahmed Wani(Co-Convenor Jammu Province), Shahid Kalas(Co-Convenor Jammu Province), Rayees Ahmed Sheikh (Secretary Jammu province), Amir Iqbal (Spokesperson) and others.
