SRINAGAR, May 8: Police today booked a notorious drug smuggler under the PIT NDPS Act in North Kashmir’s Sopore after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority.
Authorities identified the drug smuggler as Suhail Ahmad Zargar, also known as Lala, son of Bashir Ahmad Zargar, a resident of Behrampora Rafiabad.
“The booked drug smuggler has been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Bhalwal Jammu,” police stated.
They added that many cases are registered against the said drug smuggler and he was still involved in the drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to the local youth of the police district Sopore and other areas of the district.
