FICCI FLO JKL organizes awareness session on ‘Cyber Menace’

JAMMU, May 9: In order to aware the students about the cyber crimes, an awareness session on ‘The End of Cyber Menace’ organised by the FICCI FLO Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh Chapter was held here today.
Advocate Yusra Ahmed, an eminent lawyer in the Supreme Court of India was the main speaker on the occasion.
An alumnus of the prestigious London School of Economics, Ahmed holds expertise in International Law, having had the privilege of participating in cases at the Royal Court of Justice, London.
The event commenced with a warm welcome extended by Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson FICCI FLO JKL, who emphasized the increasing prevalence of cyber threats in today’s digital age.
She highlighted the ubiquitous nature of social media in our lives, emphasizing the need to safeguard our digital identities and data amidst growing risks of intrusion and harassment.
Ahmed’s insightful discourse delved into the nuances of cyber threats and how it is imperative for individuals to understand their legal rights and responsibilities in cyberspace.
She outlined various types of cyber-threats, types of attacks and best practices to safeguard personal interests.
Attendees, including FICCI FLO JKL members and students from law and computer science streams at MIET, actively engaged with the speaker, posing pertinent questions, and seeking guidance on navigating the complexities of cyber space.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Arti Chowdhary, Sr. Vice Chairperson FICCI FLO JKL.
