KISHTWAR, May 9: Under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav and under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer, Kishtwar, Dr. Rajinder Kumar, a free medical camp was organized by Block Medical Officer Paddar at NTPHC Sohal in Paddar.
The medical camp witnessed participation of senior consultants from District Hospital Kishtwar including Dr. Javed Giri, Consultant Paediatrics and Dr. Shabnam Laila, Consultant Gynaecologist along with other doctors specializing in surgery, medicine, dentistry and ophthalmology.
The dedicated medical team examined and screened 150 patients for various ailments.
To address the growing concern of non-communicable diseases, a separate counter was set up to screen patients for diabetes and hypertension.
In addition to consultations, several laboratory tests were also conducted to facilitate prompt diagnosis and treatment and sputum samples were collected for tuberculosis screening.
