Implement 7th Pay Commission at earliest: NMC

JAMMU, Mar 9: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has urged the chairman of the 7th Pay Commission to commence to visit various States of the country to hold discussions with all the stake holders for devising formula for finalizing its recommendations well in time.
Addressing the rally of NMC activists, Subash Shastri, its president said that a calendar of meetings with representatives of employees and pensioners’ orgainsations, State Governments and all other concerned should be drawn up so that recommendations of 7th Pay Commission are simultaneously implemented in favor of both Centre and State Government employees and pensioners and there are no anomalies, whatsoever, while implementing the report of the pay panel.
He pleaded that 7th Pay Commission should recommend to the Central Government merger of 50% DA and payment of 20% interim relief in favour of salaried class till the Commission submits its final report to the Central Government.
He demanded release of 10% DA due from January last in favor of State Government employees and pensioners, adding that DA is the part of salary and routine financial matter and as such there should be no hitch in releasing it.
He also demanded issuance of regularization order of 180 daily rated workers working in Rural Development Department at the earliest.
