JAMMU, May 10: Army chief Gen Manoj Pande today visited Leh-based 14 Corps headquarters and reviewed prevailing security situation in Eastern Ladakh along Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China and Siachen Glacier, the highest battlefield in the world.
The Army chief was given detailed briefing on the situation by Lt Gen Rashim Bali, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 14 Corps also known as Fire and Fury Corps.
Gen Pande interacted with the troops.
A post by ADG PI on X said Gen Manoj Pande, the Chief of Army Staff visited Fire and Fury Corps to review security situation and preparedness in Ladakh.

“The COAS was given a detailed update by the Commanders on the prevailing situation and ongoing operational preparedness. He complimented the officers and the troops for their professionalism, unwavering commitment & dedication to duty,’’ the post read.
Indian and Chinese troops have been locked in conflict in Eastern Ladakh for nearly four years now. Though disengagement has taken place from some of the friction points, the troops from both sides are in eyeball-to-eyeball position in some other areas.
