JAMMU, Mar 9: Arnia police today arrested a thief, who had decamped with goods worth over Rs 2 lakhs from Rama Electricals at village Slair under the jurisdiction of Arnia police station last night.
Arrested thief has been identified as Tarsem Lal son of Amir Chand, a resident of Panjgran, RS Pura.
He had brought a load carrier No. 5794 JK02BB to remove the goods stolen from the shop owned by Ram Lal son of Buti Ram R/o Neo Plot, Slair.
The stolen goods included inverters, batteries, electric motors, room heaters and other electronic appliances.
Getting a complaint, Arnia police station teams led by SHO Inspector Kulbir Singh Choudhary swung into action and arrested the thief. All stolen goods have been recovered from his possession.
Police have registered a case against the thief at Arnia police station.
