POONCH, May 11: A Government teacher posted at Primary School, Khait Narian in Education Zone Mandi of Poonch district allegedly suffered heart attack when he was on duty there and was rushed to hospital.
Official sources said that Basharat Hussain was teaching in class room at PS Khait about 2-3 hours walking distance from Mandi-Loran road. Suddenly, the teacher experienced severe pain in the chest and the locals of the area shifted him to SDH Mandi on cot.
He was provided preliminary treatment by the doctors at Mandi hospital and then referred him to District Hospital Poonch for advanced treatment.
Medical Superintendent DH Poonch Dr Nusrat Bhatti said that patient was treated here and have been kept under observation.
As per family members the teacher had chest pain few months ago after which he consulted doctors and his test reports suggested that he had 75% blockage and needs to insert stunt after some time, following which he approached Deputy Commissioner Poonch for his re-adjustment on Medical Grounds in a road side school. The DC marked application to Chief Education Officer, but his adjustment is still awaited.
