POONCH, May 12: Vehicular traffic remained suspended for some time on Mandi-Loran road after Tata Sumo vehicle trapped in mud-slide near Barachar village today.
Official sources said that landslide had disrupted vehicular movement in this particular area in past as well. After rainfall in the afternoon again, the mudslide hit the road in Barachar nallah and it stalled the traffic movement for more than an hour. A Sumo vehicle got trapped in it. The passenger came out. The vehicle was later dragged out by clearing some mud from the road.
Assistant Engineer, R&B, Rehan said that though the traffic movement was restored earlier, later JCB machine was sent on spot to clear the debris completely. The Department is trying to resolve this problem shortly for ever, he added.
